Group 2, Week 1

It is hard to believe that summer is here and we are in full swing! It is my desire to post a weekly blog to give all of the group 2 families a glimpse into our summer adventures! Miss Mirimba and I (Mr. Bordush) look forward to spending the summer doing some pretty cool activities and going on some exciting trips with your children.
We started off the week with our Summer Trash Challenge! As you already know from the hand out, it is our goal to spend the summer creating an awareness to the issues around litter, and encouraging children to place these items in the appropriate places. We relocated around 300 trash and recycling items in our few short walks this week!!

After some hard work, we stopped at Airport Park.

Big Bubbles! That was the challenge for the day! It didn't take long before all the groups outside joined us in the attempt to produce a giant bubble! We also had a few of our children design and build a zip line.... that actually worked quite well!
If you have never played tennis, I highly recommend that you give it a try! We had a blast on the new courts on Silver Ave. One side note- it's not as easy as it looks on TV.

Morning Sound Farm!

We had an amazing day at the farm! The weather was perfect and Mr. and Mrs. Farmer(and family) were awesome hosts(as usual), accommodating our large group as we made our way through their farm. We saw and interacted with many animals, went for a hay ride, milked a goat, fed chickens and even got to hold twin goats that were a week old, just to list a few of the things we did! What a Great day!!
We finished off the week with a trip to a local wading pool. Group 1 joined us as we enjoyed some fun in the sun!

See you soon!
