Cooking Club Week 4

Cooking Club Week 4 is here and once again the kitchen is running on pure excitement! The children were busy cracking up with laughter and enthusiasm, when they knew they would be making their own omelette!
This week we practiced cracking eggs into bowls without the egg shells, which was occasionally tricky to do. We also tried whisking our eggs gently and chose our own fillings.
We have learned to practice patience, to take turns and to use safety first when in the kitchen. The children say eating was the most enjoyable part of the Cooking/Baking Club! Yum!!!

Cooking Club Week 3

The Cooking Club was really excited to be making Pizza Roll-Ups this week.
The children had a lot of grape tomatoes and yellow, red and green peppers to chop up. As future Master Chefs, each child is using their own level of skill with the utensils in our kitchen. The groups were focused and attentive to their individual tasks and the collective project. The children commented that our Pizza Roll-Ups made their mouths water!

Cooking Club Week 2

This week we made Chocolate Chip Pancakes topped with Strawberries, Chocolate Sauce, Maple Syrup and Whipped Cream.
The children decided on which one or all of the toppings to enjoy on their pancakes. Their deliberations were extremely funny and intense!!!

Yes, I'm counting how many pancakes I think I can eat!

How much salt?

I'm checking the recipe.

Do you see it on here?

Found it, we need 1/2 tsp.

What do you think mum?

I just ate the last bite, mum!

Pancakes are delicious!
