Bringing Boxes to Life!

What do you get when you have: a pile of giant boxes, some duct tape, a large open space and two grown men who like to re-live their childhood through the experiences they have at Discovery?

.....the coolest box fort ever!!  We recently received some equipment that had great boxes that we used to construct our fort. After completion the children were able to explore the space, using a flashlight to navigate their way through the dark space (the lights were also turned off if the children wanted it to be darker). We put a few add on's for extra excitement!

A periscope to see the outside world

Some flashing lights

A blower to keep us cool and to create a wind tunnel

As the day went on we even added some blue boxes to extent our entrance! All the excitement was amplified by the Stars Wars Soundtrack playing in the background!

Fun was had by all the school-age children this in-service day, even the box builders had a great time re-visiting some childhood memories!

Airport Park day 2

We've been preparing for the bake sale all morning, so we decided to take a break and go to airport park. It was a beautiful morning and the kids and staff had a lot of fun :)
